Mount Popa, Myanmar
Rumored to have been created by a great earthquake more than two thousand years ago, Mount Popa is considered to be the abode of Burma's most famous ancient spirits, known as the Nats. Referred to as Burma's Mount Olympus, Mount Popa attracts both devout pilgrims as well as occasionally foreign travelers, due to its proximity to Bagan. These two monkeys seemed to comprehend the tranquility of this peaceful edifice while they stare solemnly into the distance as a new day dawns.
